Leaving your dog while you travel is one of those decisions that sits with you the whole trip. The good news is that boarding at PetSquad is simple to get right. Your dog stays with us in our facility, cared for by our team, and the only real choices are the room, the size, and whether an overnight stay or a day of day care is the better fit for your plans.
Here is how to think it through.
What every boarding stay includes
No matter which room you pick, every stay at PetSquad Grove and Springdale comes with the same care:
- Climate controlled rooms
- Daily play and walks
- Photo updates so you can see how the day went
- Medication administration at no extra charge
That last one matters. A lot of places charge for medication or turn away dogs who need it. If your dog is on a daily or twice-daily dose, we handle it and it does not change your rate.
Standard room or suite
The main choice is room type, and that together with size sets the price.
Standard rooms are the right call for most dogs. A social dog spends the bulk of the day out with the play group and only uses the room to rest and sleep at night. This is where the majority of our boarders stay.
Suites, available at PetSquad Grove, give a dog more space and quiet. They are worth it for:
- Two or three dogs from the same home who sleep better together than apart
- Large and extra large dogs who like to stretch out
- Older dogs, dogs on medication, and dogs new to boarding, who settle faster with less traffic around them
- Long stays, where the extra room is the reason your dog comes home relaxed instead of wound up
Grove offers both standard rooms and suites. Springdale offers standard rooms in the same four sizes.
Sizing and pricing
Rooms are priced by size, and suites carry a small step up:
| Room | Small, 0 to 20 lb | Medium, 21 to 50 lb | Large, 51 to 70 lb | X-Large, 71 lb and up |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $30 | $35 | $40 | $45 |
| Suite (Grove) | $45 | $50 | $55 | $60 |
The booking form on either the Grove or Springdale boarding page prices your exact combination before you request a date.
Boarding or day care?
Not every trip needs an overnight stay. The quick rule:
- Leaving town, gone overnight? Boarding.
- Long work day, home in the evening? Day care, half day or full day.
Day care runs during business hours and your dog comes home at night. Boarding covers the nights you are away. Plenty of families use both, a standing day care day during the week and boarding when they travel.
Get your dog comfortable first
If your dog has never boarded, the single best thing you can do is book a day care day or two in the weeks before your trip. A dog who already knows the building, the team, and the play group settles into an overnight stay much faster than a dog whose first visit is the day you leave for a week.
