Suites are worth it in a few specific cases:
- Two or three dogs from the same house. Littermates and bonded pairs sleep badly apart. A suite lets them stay together instead of listening to each other through a wall.
- Large and extra large dogs. A 90 pound dog who likes to fully stretch out is more comfortable with the extra footprint.
- Dogs who need quiet. Older dogs, dogs on medication, and dogs who are new to boarding usually settle faster with less traffic around them.
- Long stays. For anything past a week, the extra room stops being a luxury and starts being the reason your dog comes home relaxed instead of wound up.

Exit bath. Book it and your dog comes home clean instead of smelling like they had a great week, which they did. If you are driving back to Tulsa or Kansas City straight from pickup, this is the one to get.
Extra play sessions. For high energy dogs on a longer stay, adding sessions is the difference between a dog who sleeps in the car and a dog who redecorates your living room at 9pm.
Groom before pickup. Grove has a full grooming team on site, so you can have your dog boarded and groomed in the same visit. Ask when you book, because groom slots fill separately from boarding slots.
Planning a stay around Grand Lake
Two Grove specifics that catch people out:
We are closed Sunday. Hours are 7:00a to 5:30p Monday through Friday and 8:00a to 4:00p Saturday. If your trip ends on a Sunday, you are picking up Monday morning, so build that into the reservation.
The 7:00a open is early on purpose. You can drop off at seven and be on the road well before the lake traffic builds.
Holiday weekends need real lead time. Memorial Day, the Fourth, and Labor Day book out first, and so does the week of Thanksgiving.
